Participation in the 7th Corporate Run of Aachen
At the end of September, the Corporate Run of Aachen took place for the seventh time, this year joined by a running team of IKDG. The Corporate Run of Aachen is a running event, in which runners from 540 companies in and around Aachen participate. This event allows the teams not only to challenge themselves but also to represent their companies in a different public context than usual.
This year, a team consisting of Thomas Gier, Sophia Jörg and Thomas Bexten (left to right) was in action over the distance of 9.6 km for IKDG. Thomas Gier proved to be the best runner of the institute finishing in 37:01 minutes and therefore ranking in the Top 30 of all male runners. Besides the rather cold weather the Corporate Run was an impressive event due to the cheering crowds at the side of the road. Therefore, it is almost certain that the running team of IKDG will join the Corporate Run next year for the second time.
