Responsibilities

 

After graduating from high school in Schleswig Holstein, I went to RWTH Aachen University in 2013 to study mechanical engineering. I received my bachelor's degree in energy engineering in 2017 with my thesis at B&B-AGEMA in the field of computational fluid dynamics. In 2019, I was privileged to complete a part of my master's thesis in Beijing as part of the Clean Energy Research Initiative between Tsinghua University and RWTH Aachen University. The thesis has led to the publication Model-Based Thermodynamic Analysis of a Hydrogen-Fired Gas Turbine With External Exhaust Gas Recircluation .

Since the beginning of 2020, I have been working at the IKDG in the Process Analysis and Systems group.

Since end of April 2022, I'm leading the group Process Analysis and Systems .

 

Research Focus

  • High-temperature heat pumps and electro-thermal energy storage
  • Heat transfer of supercritical/subcritical CO2
  • Hydrogen: optimized local production; use in various industries; use in gas turbines
