After graduating from high school, I began studying mechanical engineering at RWTH Aachen University in 2016, specializing in energy technology. I completed my bachelor's degree there in 2021 and my master's degree in 2023. During my studies, I was employed first at the IMA and later at the IKDG as a student assistant and gained insights into programming, numerics and test bench support. At the IKDG I also completed both theses whereas I was at the GKS Gemeinschaftskraftwerk Schweinfurt GmbH for my internship.
Since April 2023, I have been working as a research assistant at IKDG as part of the Process Analysis and Systems group. Here I am investigating the potential of reusing thermal power plant components for direct air capture (DAC) of CO2 from ambient air.
Research Focus
- Direct Air Capture processes
- High-temperature heat pumps based on transcritical CO2 processes
