Responsibilities

 

I have been at RWTH Aachen University since 2013. I completed my bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering with a specialization in power engineering with an internship and bachelor's thesis at Siemens AG . Here I was allowed to write a thesis on the geometric influence of the aeroelastic behavior of low-pressure steam turbine end blades. As part of my master's degree in energy engineering with a specialization in power plant engineering, I was allowed to start at the IKDG as a student assistant. In 2018, I wrote my master's thesis as part of an industrial project. The paper focuses on the thermomechanical analysis of steam turbine preheating, which was published as a book as part of Springer's BestMasters program.

Since 2018, I have been working at the IKDG on the recommissioning of the MIGH . In this context, preliminary numerical studies for students are occasionally carried out.

  • Setup of a test rig for the experimental investigation of the hot gas induction in gas turbines
  • Numerical investigation of the hot gas induction in gas turbines
  • Numerical investigation of real flows using simplified test rig geometry
